About the Founders

Mr. Fahim Montasser

Young Fahim Montasser came out to Tanta in 1927 to help build bridges in Charbeya. He ended up building much more than he planned, including a successful career in construction and a new family that includes a daughter Samia and 4 sons Ahmed, Monem, Mostafa f, Atef. Mr. Fahim Montasser established Montasser Rafei Company with his partner Mr. Rafei, in 1930, and plays a key role in Delta's building boom.

Shrewd & acute of mind, Mr. Ahmed Montasser transcended the vision, mission in life, family values, strategy and tactics that we at Montasser abide by now, and for years to come. Under the leadership of Fahim Montasser's son, Ahmed, the company took on a wide array of new challenges. Accuracy, economy and speed remain Montasser's hallmarks, hallmarks that Mr. Ahmed Montasser engraved in each one of us.

Eng. Mostafa Montasser

Over 40 years of managerial experience in the business arena, Engineer Mostafa Montasser leads MC/MI into the new millennium. Mostafa directs a highly skilled workforce of over 1300 professional employees during the corporation years of experience. Mostafa embellished his career in Libya, UAE and Egypt. His international ventures in Kuwait and the USA later on extended his acute of vision to lead our humble company. His construction management skills travels far beyond his reputation, his reputable name is welcomed & respected among peers, banks, venture capitalist across industries.

Chronolgy

The Zaghloul Effect
After World War I, Mr. Saad Zaghloul Pasha spurs the 1919 revolution. Young Fahim Montasser is challenged by his father to prove his entrepreneurial skills. At age 19, Fahim enters the real world.

Early Foundations
Young Fahim Montasser comes out to Tanta in 1927 to help build bridges in Gharbeya State. He ends up building much more than he planned, including a successful career in construction and a new family that includes a daughter Samia and 4 sons Ahmed, Monem, Mostafa & Atef.
1927
The Company is Born
Mr. Fahim Montasser establishes Montasser Rafei Company with his partner Mr. Rafei, in 1930, and plays a key role in Delta's building boom. Noteworthy projects include the public service building in Tanta and the Nile Delta.
1930
The Great Depression
Montasser stays productive with a series of public projects for federal, state and county government including courthouses and post offices throughout the Delta.
1939
World War II
Montasser builds a series of defense projects, including barrack hospitals for the military. The company also moves back to commercial construction and provides strong support for the qr of the Delta agriculture products industry.
1945
A new Republic
The new Republic promises to build projects. Construction booms due to the war of Suez in 1956. Rebuilding Port Said becomes a national duty.
1956
Nationalization
Montasser Rafei Construction is nationalized. The family turns to its offspring.
1961
Mr. Ahmed Montasser Takes Charge
At such a young age, Fahim's son, Ahmed opens a new venture, Montasser Contracting & Exports. While building a project in Ismailia on the Suez Canal, the Israeli army demolishes it. Mr. Ahmed turns to the Arab world.
1962
Libya
The family moves to Libya, Mr. Ahmed Montasser heads the new venture of the family. The company manages to push through adversity and grow through developing a series of residential buildings in Benghazi.
1968
City of Brotherly Love
Brother Mohamed Abd El Monem heads the Egypt branch. He keeps the company at the thick of things. Mostafa graduates, and heads out to Libya.
1969
Old Strengths & New Innovations
Under the leadership of Fahim Montasser's son, Ahmed, the company takes on a wide array of new challenges. Accuracy, economy and speed remain Montasser's hallmarks, but new innovations - from tower cranes and concrete pumps to computer scheduling programs - alter the tools of the trade.
1971
Cairo Rises
Montasser comes back to its roots. In 1972, Atef Montasser starts Sout El Hob Music, The Company introduces singer Adaweya. Adaweya takes off as the 70's generation star. head to head with the classical art of Um Kalthoum and Abd El Halim.
1972
The Rise of the Arabian Peninsula
During the oil boom, resulting from the Egypt - Israel war, Mr. Ahmed Montasser moves strategically to the United Arab Emirates and Montasser helps develop the foundation of Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Sharja. Monem joins his brothers for 10 years.
1973
Sout El Hob Magic
Sout El Hob Pictures produces its first feature film, wins worldwide acclaim for "Ah Ya Leil Ya Zaman", starring Warda and Farid Shawky.
1975
The Passing of the Founder
Mr. Fahim Montasser passes away, leaving the legacy and the vision to be carried on, a torch that Mr. Ahmed Montasser welcomes with great appreciation.
1977
Montasser Unites
Montasser Construction reopens in Egypt, having branched out in U.A.E. & Libya, Engineer Mostafa Montasser joins Mr. Ahmed Montasser a partner and Vice Chairman.
1978
Rebuilding Cairo
Montasser lands a contract to erect a new residential project, a major addition to the Haram district and the Cairo residential industry. in general. Moreover, Montasser builds three more residential projects on the Pyramids road in Haram district.
1980
Expand Please
Mr. Ahmed Montasser's vision and drive presented Montasser with a new expansion. Montasser for Ready Mix Concrete is born, quickly becoming the leader in providing concrete service for Egypt.
1981
Joining Forces
The army finds in Montasser, a building partner. Montasser continues to build for the army, military bases, administrative, resiciential, federal, and state buildings.
1982
EMI Graces Egypt
Mr. Atef Montasser acquires immense interest from EMI Music Inc, joining forces to form a nein company. EMI Sout El Hob Inc, becomes the first international music company in the Middle East, moreover. EMI was the first of the big four music labels to enter a business relationship in the Middle East.
1984
Welcome to the U.S.A
Montasser reinvents itself once again with the arrival of Montasser U.S.A. Mr. Ahmed Montasser brings the United States under the Montasser umbrella, through purchasing/developing a sum of 200 acres in New York City., NY and Andrea, PA.
1985
Takmo
The family expands to build, produce and assemble wood and aluminum interiors, Takmo is born, Engineer Sarnia Gaber heads the newly born company.
1986
Travel with Us
Montasser establishes an official grade "A" tourism company in Egypt and ticketing offices in Europe, with headquarters in Paris, France.
1988
Grab Your Pop Corn
Montasser ventures into movie theater complexes building a 1000 seat cinema, unparalleled in the Middle East, Hail Al Tahrir Cinema.
1988
Cruise the Nile
Mr. Ahmed Montasser continues to bet on tourism and the "cash cow" strategy. He directs the family to a new venture. Montasser Nile Cruises is established offering two 5-star floating hotels along the Nile, servicing Luxor & Aswan.
1990
Post Desert Storm
Montasser Construdion opens a branch in Kuwait, helping rebuild Kuwait's infrastructure, schools, and educational system.
1991
Montasser Real Estate Haven
Sumptuous designs and lavish atmosphere is the vision o Montasser Real Estate. The company quickly, bought., developed, and managed same of the premiere high rises in Cairo City skyline, noticeably., the Montasser Sheraton Towers.
1992
The Role Model Passes Away
Mr. Ahmed Montasser passes away, after 8 life filled with tremendous success. Shrewd and acute of mind, Mr. Ahmed Montasser transcended the vision, mission in life, family values, strategy and tactics that we at Montasser abide by now, and for years to come. Engineer Mostafa Montasser is appointed Chairman.
1997
The Reflux & Depression
Much to the coincidence of the passing away of Mr. Ahmed Montasser, Egypt went through a 6 years depression, seeing the devaluation of the Egyptian pound with respect to other monetary units, higher inflation, shortage in money supply. Montasser pushes through adversity and rebuilds from within for the new millennium.

Montasser Construction Reinvented
Mr. Mostafa Montasser takes charge of Montasser Construction, separating one company. into two separate entities, MCR & MC.
2004
Beats at the Rate of the Heart
Mr. Sher-if Montasser refocuses on the music industry, joins with creative visionary / producer Tamim, as he continues the path of Mr. Atef Montasser. They open Beats per Minute Ltd. handling music through the innovations of the modern technology.

Life in the Suburbs
Engineer Mostafa Montasser experience and abundant vision leads Montasser to open a Hayah real estate company with the vision of expanding the suburbs and the outskirts of Cairo City. PleasantVille is brought to life.

Mrs. Dina Montasser joins the efforts to educate and communicate the healthy lifestyle, she long has enjoyed, through introducing GOLD'S GYM in Zayed City.

Engineer Tarek Thoraya and Mr. Ahmed Montasser found Contra. Contra, the newly born construction company, quickly sets a new standard for building villas IBI, compounds in Cairo City, Marina City, New Cairo and 6 October City.
